Cam McConville joins the Opposite Lock Team
Apr 03 2018
Cameron is Opposite Locks’ first non 4WD aligned brand ambassador and his appointment comes as the brand continues to expand its range and store footprint across the country.
McConvilles role will entail working with the brand to engage, educate and inspire current and prospective customers, through his own expertise, interest and love of driving, and support Opposite Locks’ brand strategy, which is to offer Australians independent and expert advice on the best gear for their vehicle, whatever they drive and wherever they want to go.
Opposite Locks General Manager, Adam O’Sullivan says “The deal with McConville is an alignment that Opposite Lock is pleased to have locked away. As one of Australian motorsports most experienced and familiar personalities, Cam has the ability to transcend the traditional manufacturer rivalry and appeal to all people. In a brand ambassador we were looking for someone that was viewed as independent, approachable, knowledgeable – characteristics we align with the Opposite Lock brand”.
“Throughout his racing career Cam embodied determination, commitment and a larrikin nature, all traits we want to embody through the ambassadors we align ourselves with,” O’Sullivan says.
McConville says “I’m genuinely excited to join the Opposite Lock team. Although I haven’t had much time to head off road over the last few years, I have always been an avid 4 wheel drive fan and I look forward to sharing my journey from track to trail with Opposite Lock customers over the coming year”.
The appointment of Cameron as a brand ambassador comes on the back of an announcement earlier this month that Opposite Lock has signed a two-year partnership with the newest support category of the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship, ECB SuperUtes Series, of which McConville is the Race Director
Starting his commitments as brand ambassador for Opposite Lock, McConville attended the National 4×4 Outdoors Show in Brisbane to get a feel for the product and lifestyle and work with the Opposite Lock team to begin creating a series of content pieces that will be rolled out across the year.BACK To NEWS
